Intlayer is an open source internationalization pipeline optimized for automated AI translation. It generates context aware translations by injecting application level context into the language model, ensuring consistent terminology and tone across the entire codebase rather than translating individual strings in isolation. The system is fundamentally token aware, designed to minimize API costs and maximize efficiency. It utilizes smart context chunking to split large files into safe segments that will not exceed model limits. Additionally, it audits existing dictionaries and only processes missing keys, preventing wasted tokens on redundant translations. This allows developers to integrate automated, contextually accurate translations directly into continuous integration workflows using local models or external API keys without unnecessary overhead.
